Because of our commitment to provide a Biblically based, theologically
sound, quality education and in recognition of the special circumstances
and needs of the non-traditional student, Evangel Theological Seminary
has developed the Directed Study Program. This program is an organized
home study system, which allows the student to enroll in a course at any
time and complete it as quickly as desired. |
| |
|
Students register for a Directed Study Course as they would for a
regular class. A maximum of two courses (six semester hours) may be
taken at one time and the work for each course must be completed within
six (6) months. Upon receiving the course registration, a
financial statement will be sent to the student. With the payment of
the applicable charges, the student will be sent a Course Packet that
includes the following: |
- Course Completion Schedule
- Course requirements.
- Course syllabus or outline.
- Course assignments.
- Other course materials and information.
- Textbooks.
- Cassette tapes of lectures, when available.
|
|
The responsibility for accomplishing the full scope of the course, and
completing all requirements, rests with the student. If the assigned
work is not completed by the six month deadline, the student will
receive a course grade based on the submitted work. If none of the
assigned work has been submitted the student will receive a failing
grade. |
