MASTER OF DIVINITY
The basic purpose of the Master of Divinity Degree (M.Div.) is to prepare highly qualified pastors, teachers, evangelists, missionaries, and chaplains for ministry in the Church; "to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up" (Eph 4:12 NIV).

Most candidates for this degree seek to qualify for ordination.  An additional objective of the M.Div. degree is to stimulate the student during seminary work, so that after graduation the imperative of ongoing personal study and preparation is realized to insure growth in the ministry.
