Evangel Theological Seminary's "School of Practical Ministry" (SOPM) was launched in 2007. The program was initially developed as a certificate program to provide additional theology training for Church Lay Leaders in the U.S. In 2009 the Lord opened an opportunity to teach the program in Kenya to pastors who had no formal Biblical training. Since that time by God's grace, the SOPM has made a significant impact on pastor training in developing nations. The program has been taught to over 1,800 pastors and church leaders in 6 different nations.
